Report on Material Class by Seam

Report on Material Class by Seam in a Summary, Detailed, or Location Report

If you define multiple material classes in gridded seams, you can report on each material class in each seam. For more information, see the example of reporting on multiple material classes, which uses the coal_minex demonstration data.

  1. Select Publish Results > Custom Reports.
  2. In the Reports pane, click Create report.
  3. In the Global Report Properties pane:
    1. In the Output folder field, select the location in which you want to save the report.
    2. In the Date format field, select the date format you want to use for dates that are included in the report.
    3. In the Header 1 field, type the text you want written to the first row of the report.
    4. In the Header 2 field, type the text you want written to the second row of the report.
  4. In the Global Group Properties pane:
    1. In the Output file name field, type a name for the report.
    2. In the Excel template field, select the template file you want applied to the report.
    3. Note: The field automatically fills with a template of the same name as the report. If you do not associate a template with the report, MineSched creates a template file when it creates the report.

    4. In the Report type field, select Summary, Detailed, or Location.
    5. In the Periods by field, select Row or Column.
    6. If you want to report grand totals at the end of each column or row, select the Grand totals check box.
    7. In the Titles field, select Automatic titles or Custom titles.
    8. If you select Custom titles, in the Title lines field, type the number of title lines you want to use in the report.
    9. Click Report Options to define report formatting:
      1. In the Header 1 on line field, type the row number on which you want the first header line to appear.
      2. In the Header 2 on line field, type the row number on which you want the second header line to appear.
      3. In the Start report on line field, type the row number on which you want the report output to start.
      4. In the Gaps after date field, type the number of blank columns that you want to appear after the period date and before the rest of the report data.
      5. In the Gaps after title field, type the number of blank rows you want to appear after the report title and before the report data.
      6. In the Gaps before grand total field, type the number of blank rows you want to appear after the report data and before the grand totals row.
  5. In the Report definition:
    1. In the Production location filter, select the production locations on which you want to report.
    2. In the Development location filter, select the development locations on which you want to report.
    3. If you want to report the locations separately, select the Report locations individually check box.
    4. If you selected Custom titles in the Global Group Properties pane, in the Title cell, type the text you want written to each title line.
    5. In the Value cell, select the value on which you want to report.
    6. In the Production cell, select the production locations on which you want to report for the column.
    7. In the Development cell, select the development locations on which you want to report for the column.
    8. In the Materials cell, select the material on which you want to report, then click in the field and add a colon (:) and the seam identifier to the material name.
    9. For example, to report on the COAL in seam A, you would choose COAL from the materials list, and then add ":A" to COAL.

    10. In the Resources cell, select the resources on which you want to report.
    11. In the Movement cell, select Added, Removed, or Balance.
    12. In the Factor field, type the factor by which you want to multiply the value for this column in the report.
    13. In the Gap after field, type the number of blank rows that you want to appear after this code group in the report.
    14. If you want to report on another material or seam, click Copy (+) to add a column, and repeat steps D through L to setup a report definition for the new column.
  6. Click Create Report.
  7. Click View Report.
  8. The report opens in Microsoft Excel.

Report on Material Class by Seam for a Bench Report

  1. Select Publish Results > Custom Reports.
  2. In the Reports pane, click Create report.
  3. In the Global Report Properties pane:
    1. In the Output folder field, select the location in which you want to save the report.
    2. In the Date format field, select the date format you want to use for dates that are included in the report.
    3. In the Header 1 field, type the text you want to appear in the first row of the report.
    4. In the Header 2 field, type the text you want to appear in the second row of the report.
  4. In the Global Group Properties pane:
    1. In the Output file name field, type a name for the report.
    2. In the Excel template field, select the template file you want applied to the report.
    3. Note: The field automatically fills with a template of the same name as the report. If you do not associate a template with the report, MineSched creates a template file when it creates the report.

    4. In the Report type field, select Bench.
    5. If you want to report a grand total at the end of each column, select the Grand totals check box.
    6. In the Titles field, select Automatic titles or Custom titles.
    7. Click Report Options to define report formatting:
      1. In the Header 1 on line field, type the row number on which you want the first header line to appear.
      2. In the Header 2 on line field, type the row number on which you want the second header line to appear.
      3. In the Start report on line field, type the row number on which you want the report output to start.
      4. In the Gaps after date field, type the number of blank columns that you want to appear after the period date and before the rest of the report data.
      5. In the Gaps after title field, type the number of blank rows you want to appear after the report title and before the report data.
      6. In the Gaps before grand total field, type the number of blank rows you want to appear after the report data and before the grand totals row.
  5. In the Report definition:
    1. If you want to display the report title in the report, select the Display title check box.
    2. If you want to display the column headings in the report, select the Display column headings check box.
    3. If you want to remove empty rows and columns in the report, select the Remove empty rows/columns check box.
    4. If you are displaying the title, in the Title field, type the title that you want to appear in the report.
    5. In the Grouping cells:
      1. For each field you want to include in the report, select the Include Grouping Field check box.
      2. For each field you want to include in the report, in the Report Columns Sort Order list, select Ascending or Descending .
      3. Use the arrows to set the order in which you want the fields to appear in the report.
    6. In the Value field, select the value on which you want to report.
    7. In the Production field, select the production location on which you want to report.
    8. In the Materials field, select the material on which you want to report, then click in the field and add a colon (:) and the seam identifier to the material name.
    9. For example, to report on the COAL in seam A, you would choose COAL from the materials list, and then add ":A" to COAL.

    10. In the Movement field, select Removed or Added.
    11. In the Factor field, type the factor by which you want to multiply the value in the report.
    12. In the Gap after field, type the number of blank rows that you want to appear after this code group in the report.
    13. If you want to report on another material or seam, click the New group tab and repeat steps A through L to setup a report definition for the new group.
  6. Click Create Report.
  7. Click View Report.
  8. The report opens in Microsoft Excel.
